An expedition towards the future

Digital Shapers took the T-Mobile Shared Sales Services team on an inspiration expedition during their yearly off-site. Two days, filled with inspiration relating to technological developments, changing customer behavior and the future-proof employee.

Challenge

A yearly off-site is all about team building, inspiration and fun. How do you combine these in one program that does not compromise on the quality of its content? We wanted to enthuse attendees about technological developments and encourage cooperation by having teams utilise new knowledge instantly tackle diverse challenges.

Approach

Over the course of two days we went on an inspiration expedition. Increasing the awareness of the possibilities that digital technology has to offer, was at the basis of every element. Afterwards, we discussed real life applications, and we debated how these would apply in the context of T-Mobile on a daily basis.

Results

A diverse selection of lectures, workshops and games were connected in an engaging expedition. In teams we worked on the following topics: 

  • How to utilise the potential of digital technology in the coming 10 years
  • What this means for the telecom industry
  • How to assess changing customer needs
  • Required digital competences for the T-Mobile employee

I’ve recently experienced my second workshop with Digital Shapers. With a new group and a different topic, and I’m still very enthusiastic about the Shapers. They have a great sense for what a group needs, and they dare to challenge and confront people. The program they came up with was strong. A combination of courage, knowledge and energy that makes you think and also invites you to get to work. We managed to achieve our learning goals and we’ve enjoyed a pleasant professional collaboration. I look back on two very successful events.
